Editor's Letter of Introduction
Las Vegas, Las Vegas, what is going on in our city? The NBA All-Star Weekend--was it a blessing or a curse? I’m hearing stories of inappropriate behavior like not paying for taxis, skipping out on bills and taking drinks. Before you get offended and deny what is being said, the statistics say, more locals than visitors caused most of the riff-raff during the NBA All-Star Week. Regardless of who is to blame, we live here and the results from this negative behavior are multiplied by ten when it pertains to the urban community. Yes, we have been labeled with various signage saying “Urban this” or “Urban that,” but comparatively speaking, has the urban community truly grown or is it respected like our urban counterparts in America? The urban lifestyle has permeated numerous cities like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, but for some odd reason the urban style has a twist in our city.
